Three Questions All Meditators Should Ask Themselves
To prevent the practice from stagnating.
We humans have a bad habit of falling into routines. But, it’s not that all routines are a bad thing — I mean, we can develop great habits like eating healthfully or getting regular exercise. The problem arises once we’ve grown stagnant.
Any good routine needs a moment of questioning built into it. It doesn’t need to happen often, but it does need to happen. Because at some point along the way, things need to change. Perhaps you’re ready to try different recipes or different exercises and take your routine to the next level.
Meditation is no different. It’s fantastic that you may have started the practice, but that is not the end. There is more wisdom and instruction to be found that can take your meditation practice to the next level, too.
After all, life is a rollercoaster of hardships and joy, and meditation is one means by which we can be more at peace and at ease with all its twists and turns. But, don’t settle because meditation has already provided some benefits to you. Don’t stop being curious because your life is filled with a little more happiness. Don’t stop learning.
