Recently, I’ve been struggling. I love to learn new things and then write about them, but for whatever reason, that’s been hard lately. I’ve been frequently distracted by the things I know are not as important (cough*Netflix*cough) and they’ve been pulling me away from what I love to do.

It’s incredible, isn’t it, that we can act so obviously against our best interest? In some cases, we know exactly what would make us happy, yet a part of us fights against that with all its might. And it often wins, doesn’t it?! Confronted with that overwhelming force, we roll over and acquiesce. Then, we watch this play out time and time again.

Maybe you want to get more exercise. Maybe you want to cook healthier meals. Maybe you want to quit smoking. Whatever it is, are you struggling? Do you find your old habits to be irresistible? Are you being pulled away from what you really want to do?

If that’s the case, I hear you. I struggle with this, too. But, I’m also excited to share something with you that’s had a huge impact on me. It’s brought life and energy back into my mind and, amazingly, I’ve been able to direct that toward what I love — writing.
