Hi Niklas. That was a very touching piece. To think of our past selves in this manner is quite beautiful.
It’s hard to disconnect the string that connects us to our past selves, but once we do we see those people for who they are: helpless to have acted any differently, to have been any different. They didn’t know any better, didn’t have the skills, didn’t have the wisdom, didn’t have the compassion. But we are not them. We can find the wisdom and compassion to accept them for who they were, for what they did, for how they thought. We can give them all the peace they deserve. And in doing so, we can give that same peace to ourselves, which we also deserve.
You’re right, we can save them all.
