Thanks for your comment! A have a couple of questions.

1. How are you so certain that people on the right are racist? I'm sure there are many but one point I tried to get across in my article is that the right appears to care more about society as a whole than just the oppressed. It's not really an elaborate justification if they think changes recommended by the left will hurt more of society than they help, as they sometimes do.

2. Why do you distinguish between free speech in the press versus the average citizen? Surely, you enjoy the ability to speak your mind, like writing your response to my article. Why should that right be denied other people who happen to disagree with you?

3. What if you're missing something from your perspective? What if their morality IS more complex, and they can more clearly see important elements to society that you cannot? I'm not a social conservative, but I do know that people form groups no matter what their political affiliation is. And we are sometimes better for it, ethically and productively. It's changes to the fabric that holds groups together that the right often react to. What if they have a point?
